   The first place to go here is Wat Phra That Doi Wao, perched on Doi Wao Hill in Mae Sai, Thailand, which stands as a sacred Buddhist temple with a gleaming golden stupa, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including the border between Thailand and Myanmar. Since we are at Doi Wao, we are going to Doi Wao market to buy some stuffs and souvenirs. The next place, one of the most stunning temples, known as 'Wat Phra San with Bamboo,' is entirely crafted from bamboo wood. The name itself, highlighting the use of bamboo in decoration, is intriguing. The Buddha image and every inch of the temple's interior and exterior exhibit meticulous detail. After here, we go to Lotus which is a must visit supermarket in Mae Sai. For Day1, we will rest in ORASA hotel and conclude the day.

There are various images and statues set in niches along the adjacent cliff and it’s an interesting spot to wander. Wat Tham Pha Chom also houses a large meditation and Dharma teaching school run by the Ministry of Education and has a small museum featuring locally found artefacts plus Buddhist relics. The latter belonged to prominent monks and also apparently to Buddha himself.
