 Wat Phra That Doi Tung

      Wat Phra That Doi Tung, or Wat Phra Maha Chin That Chao, is a temple located in Mae Sai County, Chiang Rai. It was probably built in the period of King Achutharat of Yonoknakphan. It is famous for having Lord Buddha’s collarbone relics, which was transported directly from India. The legend says, about 1,000 years ago, Mahākāśyapa and King Achutharat of Yonoknakphan, along with his servants, were the people who brough the relics to the place.If you were born in year of the pig, you should visit the temple for at least once in lifetime, as the Lord Buddha’s relics there is specially fortunate for whoever born in that period. Phrathat Chedi Srinagarindra Stit Maha Santi Khiri
မဟာသန္တိခရိဘုရားစေတီ

      A modern Lanna style chedi, located atop a hill at an elevation of 1,500 metres above Ban Santi Khiri and Wat Santi Khiri, was built in honour of the late Princess Mother, Princess Srinagarindra in 1996. It features a height of 30 meters on a tiered rectangular base, adorned with grey tiles, the indented square base has three niches on each of the 4 sides with the relic chamber featuring standing Buddha images on four sides, and the bell on top is adorned with crafted golden plates. Visitors can enjoy the panoramic view especially at dusk from up here. This chedi that is elegantly visible from afar marks an important symbol of Doi Mae Salong.

      The Baan Dam Museum (also known as the Chiang Rai Black Temple or Black House Museum) is a museum and gallery that was home to the renowned Thai artist, Thawan Duchanee. The attraction isn’t actually a temple per se, but a collection of around 40 buildings on a large property that showcase the skill of this artist. In Thai, “baan” means “home” or “house” and “dam” means “black”, hence the name.

The compound is dominated by a statue of Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy and an impressive 9-level pagoda.This temple compound gets very busy, but donations from the constant stream of visitors fund the maintenance and ongoing construction program.There is an elevator that takes you to the top of the statue for panoramic views of the pagoda and surrounding countryside.Within the viewing level itself, the interior is decorated with an elaborate stucco.

Wat Rong Suea Ten(The Blue Temple)

      Wat Rong Suea Ten, also known as the Blue Temple, is a temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand, known for its striking modern artistic design. The temple's construction was initiated by the local community in 1996 to replace an old abandoned temple which previously stood on the site, though construction did not start until 2005. Its final design was realized by local artist Phuttha Kabkaew or Sala Nok (sala being a northern Thai title for an artisan), who learned from Chalermchai Kositpipat while working on his famous Wat Rong Khun, just outside the city. Wat Rong Suea Ten's main building was completed in 2016, and follows in the unconventional "neo-traditional" style of Buddhist art pioneered by Chalermchai, employing lavishly ornamented sculptures and psychedelic visual imagery.

      Wat Rong Khun, better known as the White Temple, is a Buddhist temple and one of the most recognizable temples in Pa O Don Chai, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. The temple outside the town of Chiang Rai attracts a large number of visitors, both Thai and foreign, making it one of Chiang Rai’s most visited attractions. The White temple was created by master Chalermchai Kositpipat, the national artist who designed, constructed, and opened it to visitors in 1997. The primary structure of the temple is made of a basic concrete frame and a wooden roof. And while, when viewed from afar, it appears to be crafted from sparkling porcelain, upon closer inspection, it becomes evident that the dazzling effect is achieved through a blend of whitewash and transparent mirrored chips. The outer surfaces are adorned with white plaster and incorporated glass inserts.

Visitors may attempt to toss 3 coins through the navel of a buddha In front of the main prayer hall, 4 demo-gods labor to carry a large bell. 2 of them are demons complete with cigarettes and beer.
